K.B. Austin has been a storyteller since she can remember. As early as age three, she was telling improvised and animated stories to her older sister, twin brother and family pets.
She was born in New York City and grew up in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Virginia. She loves children, animals and nature.

K.B. Austin received her Master's degree in Aesthetics: The Arts as Process in the Classroom and her Doctoral degree in Childhood Development and Whole Brain Learning from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

She is currently a therapist and educator living in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her two sons Jeremy and Kobi.
